Madhuri Dixit

Madhuri was an Indian actress who achieved fame for her role in the films Hum Aapke Haiin Koun and Beta Saajan. She was first known for her role in Tezaab from the 1980s where she co-starred along with the veteran actor Anil Koopor. Her next appearance on screen was Dil alongside Aamir. In the beginning, as a child growing up in Mumbai's middle class she started to dance. In her early years, as she began acting as a young actress, most films she created were not successful. She finally found success, and she became one of the most well-known actresses within the Indian film business. Following her marriage the actress took time away from performing prior to returning. Recenty, she had an important role in Gulaab Gang. The film was about struggles faced by women in India. Dixit was awarded 8 Filmfare Awards out of the fifteen nominations she received. The actress was also honoured with her Padma Shri the fourth highest civilian award in India. Social work by her is known to the world.
